New Delhi (India), May 09: Symbiosis Law School, Pune, a constituent of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), in association with Symbiosis Law School, Noida, Hyderabad and Nagpur, is proud to present SYMROLIC 2023, the 11th International Annual Research Conference. The event will take place on May 5th and 6th, 2023, commencing at 10:30 am in a hybrid mode at Symbiosis Law School, Pune, and via Zoom.

This year’s theme, “Rule of Law in Context: Globalisation and Indian Resonances to Sustainable Development Goals,” highlights the significance of the rule of law in the context of sustainable development goals, both on a global and an Indian scale. The conference, which is a flagship event and one of the best practices of SLS Pune, provides a platform for researchers and scholars to engage in insightful discussions on various sub-themes. The conference will feature six tracks over the course of two days, exploring a range of themes, including Law and Human Behaviour, Innovation, Science, Technology and Law, and International Law, Policy and Governance, among others.

SYMROLIC has received a total of 67 quality research papers that deliberate upon the theme of the Rule of Law in Context. Esteemed international luminaries will grace the event, creating a fertile ground for the exploration of paramount issues of significance. The plenary session shall begin with the featuring of the theme, Legal Road to Sustainable Development Goals: Global and Indian Route, by Prof. Dr Shashikala Gurpur.

The event will be graced by the august presence of Dr S.B. Mujumdar, Chancellor, Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Dr Vidya Yeravdekar, Pro-Chancellor, Symbiosis International (Deemed University), and Dr Rajani R. Gupte, Vice Chancellor, Symbiosis International (Deemed University). Prof. (Dr.) Shashikala Gurpur, Fulbright Scholar, Director, Symbiosis Law School, Pune, Dean, Faculty of Law, SIU, Jean Monnet Chair Professor (EUC – Lamp co-funded by EU) will deliver the inaugural address followed by the felicitation of the Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) Purvi Pokhariyal, Director of National Forensic Science University, will release the bi-annual newsletter LexEt and Abstract Compilations for the research papers submitted for SYMROLIC. The Guest of Honour, Dr Asha Bajpai, Professor, TISS, will virtually inaugurate the Symbiosis Child Law Centre.

SYMROLIC 2023 is an opportunity for attendees to participate in visionary discussions, and its diverse array of topics will provide a platform for fruitful discussions among researchers and scholars from prestigious Law Colleges. The event will be conducted in a hybrid mode, and participants can attend both in person at Symbiosis Law School, Pune, or via Zoom.
